Why Attend The International Pool Spa Patio Expo?

For folks that are in the pool & spa industry, the International Pool Spa Patio Expo (also known as the PSP/Deck Expo) is the perfect time to reconnect with old friends and colleagues. Last year’s conference was the first time in years that the Expo was disrupted and forced to go virtual. Event organizers decided to host the Expo in Dallas, TX this year; which honestly is a really smart idea.

I’ve been to plenty of tradeshows and in my honest opinion hosting an event in Las Vegas can be a bit of a distraction. Dallas, TX has one of the most tightly knit communities of pool builders, service technicians, suppliers and distributors. It just makes sense that the Expo be hosted closer to home. Having it centrally located in the heart of Texas makes it a bit easier to travel whether you’re coming from the East Coast or the West Coast, the distance is about 3 hours or so by plane which is about as long as I want to be in the air anyway.

For me, as Editor of Pool Magazine it makes sense to be where the industry is going to be. This is our first year attending the PSP/Deck Expo and we are looking forward to presenting as an exhibitor. We are also pretty excited to get to check out the other vendors and get a look at the latest technology, products and services the industry has to offer.

As someone who is very much immersed in the pool & spa industry, the Expo is probably the biggest show of the year for the pool world. This particular show often features fun events, games, and prizes; consequently, it’s become the favorite tradeshow for many.

One of the most appealing aspects to going to this particular event is the opportunity to attend educational courses and seminars hosted by some of the brightest minds in the pool industry. The Expo starts a few days earlier for those attending education programs hosted by organizations such as PHTA, Genesis, and Watershape University. Attendees have the opportunity expand their knowledgebase at the hands of the masters, which makes it a central learning hub in the pool and spa world.
